"Our assignment is not only to make visits but to consistently carry the Spirit into homes, to bless families with the pure love of Christ, to inspire, encourage, lift, and fortify. Every home is in need of additional support. Visiting teachers bring that blessed reinforcement. It is a sacred trust we have been given. We can overcome the obstacles." -Bonnie D. Parkin, RS General President, 2002-2007.

Visiting Teaching Tip of the Month

Call your sisters and invite them to come to the Relief Society Summer Salad Social with you. It will be a night of food, friends, and fun!!!  Sometimes it can be hard to go to an activity all alone.  It's always more fun to go with a friend.  An invitation by you can make all the difference in their day. If you offer to pick them up on your way, they may be more likely to come.

While you have them on the phone, check to see how there family is doing. Check on their children, job, school, summer plans.  Ask if there is anything that you can help them pray for.  It is extremely important that we are praying for our sisters.  We all need the prayers of our visiting teachers!!

I hope that you all are having a great summer.  I am excited to see you all at the Summer Salad Social.  We had a lot of fun when we did it last year, and I am looking forward to all of the yummy salads again this year!!  Have a great July!!!
