You may be asking yourself, "Relief Society on Saturday?" That is correct. We have an exciting field trip planned for you sisters that is sure to excite and delight. We are going on our own little church history tour in downtown Salt Lake to learn more about the women that pioneered this wonderful organization known as relief society. Here are the details:
Date: Saturday, June 1, 2013
Time: 9 am
Place: Meet at church for carpool, then travel to SLC for our tour
Food: Sack lunch provided
In preparation for this activity, we want to encourage all of you to read "Daughters in My Kingdom." Whether it's your first time or your fourth, this is a really wonderful book that will remind us of our relief society heritage and help us gain inspiration for our lives today.
Mark your calendars and plan on attending this exciting activity.
(We will have a sign-up the week before so that we can plan on lunch and organize a carpool. We are not sure how long the tour will last, so if you have to be home early we will try to plan for you to carpool with others that have the same schedule. Including travel we are planning for around 4-5 hours. If others want to stay longer that is great. We can arrange a carpool for that, too.)
